Zero Hunger Challenge Course

Dr. Kiruba Krishnaswamy offers a fall course that mimics the structure of the Deaton Scholars Program. During the course, students are grouped and develop a project proposal through the process of collective peer mentorship. Proposals address Zero Hunger, the second of seventeen sustainable development goals put forth by the United Nations. Course participants are considered part of the semester cohort and welcomed at Deaton Scholars Program cohort events and other activities. The key difference between course participants and those that applied directly to the Deaton Scholars Program is that course participants receive class credits for their participation.
