The University of Missouri is the founding institution for the Deaton Scholars Program. Since 2017, the University of Missouri has graduated nearly 800 Deaton Scholars through its innovative, team-based, interdisciplinary program dedicated to addressing some of the world’s most pressing challenges.

In 2025, Mizzou DSP is excited to expand its collaboration with the Honors College, offering students valuable mentorship opportunities. Under the Honors College’s leadership, DSP engages undergraduate, graduate, and professional students from every college and discipline at the University of Missouri in the fight against global poverty and hunger.
